Bhubaneswar: DGP Dr RP Sharma on Friday suspended former IIC of Malkangiri police station Ranjan Kumar Sahoo for his alleged involvement in a vigilance case.
According to police sources, Sahoo was caught while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 1 lakh from complainant Bidyut Charan Dash, a resident of Berhampur in Ganjam district.
Sahoo was arrested and forwarded to the court on Friday.
During the period of suspension, he will remain under the disciplinary control of DIG of Police, SWR, Koraput.
