Bhubaneswar: Chandrasekharpur police here on Tuesday arrested two students, including son of former Titlagarh MLA Surendra Singh Bhoi, for allegedly ragging a first-year student of a private engineering college at Baniatangi in Khurda.
During probe, Sobhen Singh Bhoi and his classmate Baba Shankar Das, both third year students of the institute, were found involved in the harassment case.
On Monday, first-year students of the institute had gheraoed the District Collector’s office, demanding stringent action against the seniors who tortured and threatened them. They further alleged that the college authorities ignored their earlier complaints.
