Sonepur: Son of a former MP of Odisha died after being hit by a train near Dunguipali railway station in Odisha’s Sonepur district on Saturday morning.
According to sources, the accident took place while Abinash Mishra (50), son of former Balangir MP Balgopal Mishra, was out for his morning walk. He was critically injured after being hit by Puri-Durg Intercity Express while crossing a level crossing near the railway station. He was rushed to Dunguripali Community Health Centre but was declared dead.
Abinash was residing at a rented house in Dunguripali with his wife.
The Government Railway Police soon reached the spot and started an investigation.
