Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday appointed former DGP Abhay as chairman of State Task Force for Narcotics (Drugs) in the state.
The post is in the rank and status of chief secretary.
An Odisha-cadre IPS officer of the 1986 batch, Abhay had held the DGP’s post for two years from November 2019 till today.
