Bhubaneswar: Former deputy director, Tourism and general manager, Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC), Shahabuddin Mohammad Gani, breathed his last on Tuesday morning. He was 84.
He was deputed to Government of India Tourism department as regional director, Eastern Region and continued till his retirement in 1995.
He was also the founder principal of the Institute of Hotel Management, Bhubaneswar.
During his service and even after his retirement, Gani had worked passionately to preserve and promote Odisha’s culture to make the state an attractive tourist destination.
