Bhubaneswar: Retired ADP and former President of Programme Staff Association (PSA) of AIR and Doordarshan, Suresh Chandra Nayak passed away here on Thursday evening. He was 69.
Nayak was known among sports lovers for his sports programmes and as an announcer in AIR. He was involved in the live telecast of Olympics, Asian Games, national-level as well as state-level sports events.
He also won rave reviews for the plays which he had produced.
He spent most of his work life in Jeypore, Cuttack and north-east parts of Odisha and in New Delhi. After his retirement in October, 2012, he moved to Bhubaneswar and stayed at Kanana Vihar.
Nayak is survived by his wife, two daughters and sons-in-law.
