Balasore: Police arrested a former sarpanch on Saturday for stopping the vehicle of Balasore Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy at Dagara in Baliapal block.
Police sources said the collector was visiting the area to review the post-Cyclone Yaas situation when the ex-sarpanch of Dagara panchayat and three others intercepted his vehicle.

Notably, the Balasore administration had started review visits to assess the situation after Cyclone Yaas struck the district on May 26.
