Ex-VLW Convicted In Corruption Case, Sentenced To 4 Yrs RI In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A former VLW-cum-PEO of Rajkanika block in Kendrapada district was convicted by Special Judge (Vigilance) on Wednesday and sentenced to four years rigorous imprisonment.

The ex-VLW-cum-PEO Sudhakar Pradhan was arrested by the Vigilance on charges of bribery to process a file and booked under Sections 13(2), 13(1)(d) and 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

The Odisha Vigilance will move the competent authority for stoppage of his pension, the anti-corruption agency said.
