Sonepur: Excise Department staffers have triggered a storm for breaching the guidelines on social distancing in Sonepur town.
As per the guidelines against COVID-19, not more than four persons are allowed to travel in a vehicle at a time. However, eight staffers of the Sonepur district Excise Department were seen travelling in a government vehicle on Wednesday.
Even as the government has been creating awareness to maintain social distancing and follow other rules, the breach of guidelines by the Excise Department staff has become the talk of town.
People alleged that police collect heavy fines from violators of COVID-19 guidelines, but no action was taken against the government staffers.
