Exit Poll: Jagan Mohan Reddy May Lose Andhra Pradesh To Chandrababu & NDA

New Delhi: Exit polls continue to bring pleasing news for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Having predicted significant inroads in the southern states in Lok Sabha results, the BJP-led NDA is projected to do well in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly election as well.

According to the India Today-Axis My India exit poll, NDA is poised to wrest Andhra Pradesh from Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ruling YSR Congress Party.

The survey has predicted that the NDA — comprising BJP, N Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena Party (JSP) — could secure 98 to 120 of the 175 Assembly seats for a clear majority.

Provided these results come true on June 4, former chief minister and TDP chief Chandrababu will make a significant comeback.

A day earlier, the Lok Sabha exit poll predictions also spelt doom for Jagan, with many of the surveys giving BJP between 18 and 23 seats to BJP and 0-4 to YSRCP in the 25-member state Assembly.
