Rourkela: The body of a woman was recovered from the debris three hours after an explosion occurred at Telugu Basti of Madhusudanpalli in Rourkela on Monday.
Fire personnel and police, during their rescue operation, found the body trapped under the debris.
Six persons were injured in the mishap. Two of the critically injured were rushed to Ispat General Hospital (IGH).
More than ten houses were also gutted.
Though the exact reason behind the incident is not yet known, locals suspect that the mishap might have occured after a gas cylinder connected with some firecrackers exploded.
