Bhubaneswar: The Centre has approved the extension of Odisha-cadre IAS officer Roopa Mishra’s central deputation for a period of one year.
The 2004-batch officer has been serving as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing Urban Affairs, since August 2021.
“The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for extension of central deputation tenure of Roopa Mishra, IAS, for a period of one year beyond 02.02.2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier,” the notification said.
Mishra, who topped the Civil Services exam in 2003, had served as Collector of Khurda and Nabarangpur districts, Mission Director of National Health Mission and founding Managing Director of Odisha Medical Services Corporation before proceeding on central deputation in 2020. She was initially posted as director of National Jal Jeevan Mission under the Ministry of Jal Shakti in New Delhi.
