Extra Coaches Added To These Odisha-Bound Trains To Clear Peak Rush



Bhubaneswar: To accommodate the surge in passenger traffic and improve travel comfort during the peak season, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the temporary augmentation of coaches in several popular express trains.

The Bhubaneswar–New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express (Train No. 22823) will have one additional AC 2-Tier coach attached on January 23. In the return direction, the New Delhi–Bhubaneswar Tejas R

ajdhani Express (Train No. 22824) will also receive one extra AC 2-Tier coach on January 24.

For passengers travelling on the Hirakhand Express, ECoR is adding one Sleeper Class coach to the Bhubaneswar–Jagdalpur service (Train No. 18447) from January 24 to 31. The Jagdalpur–Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express (Train No. 18448) will get the additional Sleeper Class coach from January 25 to February 1.

The Puri–Howrah Shatabdi Express (Train No. 12278) and its return service, the Howrah–Puri Shatabdi Express (Train No. 12277), will each have one extra AC Chair Car coach attached from January 22 to 27.

East Coast Railway reiterated its commitment to passenger convenience, stating that coaches will continue to be augmented wherever necessary to ensure smooth and comfortable journeys during high-demand periods.
