Extra-Marital Affair: Woman Hires ‘Supari’ Killer To Eliminate Husband In Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: Completely smitten by her driver, a woman recently plotted to eliminate her husband through a ‘supari’ killer in Odisha capital.

While her husband, Binayak Behera, had a close shave in the murderous attack, police have nabbed contract killer Jitendra Pradhan and the accused woman’s paramour, Ashok Sahu.

Binayak works as a senior section engineer at Mancheswar Railway Workshop.

Silsila developed an illicit relationship with Ashok, a native of Hatatota in Angul, when her husband was transferred to Puri. When Binayak got a whiff of it, he confronted her, leading to a rift between them and tension at home. This is when she hired Jitendra for Rs 1 lakh to eliminate Binayak. On April 16, Ashok along with Jitendra and a few of his aides attacked Binayak near Sports Complex in Mancheswar while he was going on an evening walk, with an iron rod. Binayak, somehow, managed to escape from their clutches and reported the incident at Mancheswar police station, sources said.

Ashok was nabbed following a raid on an apartment and the contract killer too was arrested subsequently, but Silsila continues to be at large.

Ashok reportedly confessed to his crime during interrogation. Efforts are on nab others involved in the attack, police said.
