Face Masks And Social-Distancing Norms Made Mandatory For A Year In Kerala

Kochi: The Kerala state government on Sunday decided to make social-distancing norms mandatory for one year, unless there is a further notification.

Every person is expected to cover their face at all public places, workplaces and while travelling in all kinds of vehicles. Physical distance between two people has to be at least six feet.

The number of people at a marriage function shouldn’t exceed 50 at a time. Event organisers should provide sanitizers as well.

A maximum of 20 individuals are allowed for funerals. Other social gatherings like gettogethers, protests and demonstrations can have maximum of 10 people — that too with written permission from authorities.
