Hyderabad: Facebook has banned T Raja, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator from Telangana, for his controversial comments that violate the policy of hate speech, reported Wall Street Journal on Thursday.
According to Outlook, a Facebook official said in an emailed statement, “We have banned Raja Singh from Facebook for violating our policy prohibiting those that promote or engage in violence and hate from having a presence on our platform.”
The statement further stated that the process for evaluating potential violators is extensive and encourages Facebook’s decision to ban his account.
Also, the social media giant had earlier taken down several posts of Raja Singh after the Wall Street Journal had reported that it is favouring the BJP.
Raja Singh is a controversial figure on Facebook for hate speeches.
