Mumbai: There has been no intimation yet from the would-be bride and groom, or their families.
But grapevine has it that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are set to tie the knot in mid-April.
And, according to latest reports, it won’t be a destination wedding. Rather, the much-hyped wedding will take place at the RK Bungalow in Chembur — the famous family house of the Kapoors.
Ranbir’s father, the late Rishi Kapoor, and Neetu Singh had also got married at that venue.
Ranbir’s uncle Randhir Kapoor, however, denied the reports.
“I don’t know why people take such liberties with Alia and Ranbir. They are to get married in the RK house? I have heard no such thing,” he told NDTV.
The wedding celebrations will reportedly take place between April 14 and 17.
According to some reports, the duo has chosen April 17 as the D-Day because 17 is a lucky number for the Kapoor family. Also, 1 plus 7 equals 8, which is Ranbir’s favourite number. He wears jersey No. 8 whenever he plays football.
Ranbir and Alia have been dating for some years now, having fallen for each other during the filming of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra.
