New Delhi: First, it was international pop superstar Rihanna, then environmental activist Greta Thunberg, and now it is Indian playback singer Caralisa Monteiro who has faced the brunt for supporting farmers’ agitation here.

A screenshot showing anti-Hindu hate message, allegedly by the singer, is doing rounds on social media.

The screenshot reads, “Every time a Hindu is killed, I get orgasmic pleasure. Modi might dream Congress Mukt Bharat, but we will get Hindu Mukt India soon. Amen!”

This led to a furoure among netizens who lashed out at her for her “Hindu Mukt India” tweet.

However, the screenshot has been found to be fake.

There is no such tweet on her verified handle and also in the archives. The screenshot also lacks the name of device posted from.

The singer too has tweeted that it is a fake tweet and has filed a complaint.
