Mumbai: Shilpa Shetty’s businessman husband Raj Kundra spent two months in prison for his alleged involvement in the production and distribution of pornographic content via an app called Hotshots.
Two years down the line, it has emerged that a film on Kundra’s arrest and his time in Arthur Road jail could be in the works.
Pinkvilla reported, quoting sources, that an announcement will be made soon. Interestingly, Kundra is likely to himself act in the film.
“The film will present an account of all that Raj Kundra experienced through his tenure in one of most over-crowded jails – Arthur Road Jail. The director’s name has been kept under wraps for now, but Kundra will be creatively involved in all aspects – from production to script,” the source said.
The film, expected to go on floors soon, will trace the entire journey of Kundra in the porn content case starting from the first reports of the allegations.
“It’s more of a story from Kundra and the family’s point of view,” the source added.
Kundra, who was arrested by Mumbai Police on July 19, 2021, walked out of jail after 63 days.
Kundra has been keeping a low profile since he got bail.
“One year today… released from Arthur Road. It’s a matter of time. Justice will be served! The truth will be out soon! Thank you well-wishers and a bigger thank you to the trollers you make me stronger,” Kundra wrote in a rare social media post a year ago.
Kundra married Bollywood actress Shilpa in 2009, and the duo has two children – son Viaan and daughter Samisha.
