Bhubaneswar: Odisha has seen a sharp rise in daily COVID-19 cases in recent days with more than 1,000 daily cases reported in the last two days — 1,065 cases on Saturday; 1,043 cases on Friday. Amid this, a fake circular listing fresh COVID guidelines by Odisha’s Special Relief Commission (SRC) is circulating on social media.
The fake circular contains an image of Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena and lists COVID restrictions in the state for August.
The SRC clarified on Twitter that he has not issued any circular on COVID-19 after April 1, 2022.
“A lot of fake messages are being circulated on social media. No such order have been issued by SRC Odisha,” he tweeted.
