Bhubaneswar: Amid media speculation about full resumption of all passenger train operations from April 1, the Ministry of Railways on Saturday afternoon reiterated that no date has been fixed for reopening the services yet.
“Railways has been increasing the number of train services in a graded manner. Already more than 65 per cent trains are running with 250 plus being added in January alone. More will be added gradually,” the press release said.
All factors need to be taken care of and inputs of all stake holders are to be factored, it said, while requesting all to avoid speculation.
Railways suspended all passenger trains in March 2020 following the national lockdown to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
