Fact Check: Will Athiya Shetty & KL Rahul Become Parents Soon?

Mumbai: Celebrity couples seem to be loving parenthood.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli became parents for the second time in February, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expecting their first child in September, actress Yami Gautham and filmmaker Aditya Dhar are awaiting their first kid in May, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are enjoying bringing up 16-month-old daughter Raha, ditto with Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas who were blessed with Malti Marie two years ago.

Now, there is a buzz over impending parenthood of another celebrity couple, Team India star KL Rahul and actress Athiya Shetty.

Neither Rahul nor Athiya has spoken about the matter, but it’s a recent comment made by the latter’s father Suniel Shetty that has set the rumour mills buzzing.

The veteran Bollywood actor, who is a judge in the TV reality show ‘Dance Deewane’, said recently that he will be ‘walking like a nana’ when he comes back to the show next year.

In the latest episode called ‘Grand Masti with Grandparents’, host Bharti Singh asked the ‘cool’ Shetty how he would behave when he becomes a nana (grandparent).

“Yes, next season when I come I will be walking on the stage like a Nana,” he replied.

Athiya and Rahul got married on January 23, 2023 at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala mansion.
