New Delhi: With the nation’s Capital gearing up to host the mega G20 Summit, Delhiites are preparing for a quiet weekend.
In fact, there had been widespread speculation that there will be a lockdown from September 8 to 10 because of security reasons.
To assure citizens, Delhi Police took to social media platform X to clarify that there won’t be any lockdown during the G20 Summit, and advised people to be aware of traffic restrictions.
“Dear Delhiites, Don’t panic at all! There is no lockdown. Just keep yourself updated with traffic information available on @dtpftraffic’s Virtual Help Desk,” Delhi Police tweeted with a meme using an image from Nagarjuna-starrer popular south Indian movie Don No.1.
Delhi Traffic Police has established a dedicated helpdesk which will serve as a reliable source of real-time traffic information in the national capital during the summit.
