Bhubaneswar: In another case of social media misuse, an imposter posing as Ollywood actress Anubha tried to dupe people by asking them monetary benefits.
As per information, an unidentified person tried to seek money from people by opening a fake facebook account of the actress.
The matter came to the fore when the actress received an email from a fan, asking for her account number to transfer money. On inquiring, the person revealed that he had received a message on a personal facebook chat stating that the actress was in trouble after moving to Bengaluru and was in dire need of money.
“Someone with a fake account of mine was asking for monetary help to people. Guys, beware of social media frauds and don’t share any kind of information or lend any financial help trusting chat mediums,” the actress wrote in her facebook after posting the screenshots of fake account chats.
The matter has been reported to the Cyber Crime cell.
