Bhanjanagar: Two teachers, who produced fake certificates to get employment, were arrested in Aska in Ganjam district, police said on Saturday.
According to reports, the two accused — Okila Bisoyi of Mantapada High School and Ashok Sahu of Kendupadar Upper Primary School — were arrested after the Aska Block Education Officer (BEO) submitted a report to the Ganjam DEO regarding the fake certificate scam.
Several teachers engaged at different schools at Aska, Kabisurya Nagar and Khallikote have got employment on the basis of fake certificates, as per sources.
Earlier, police had detained three other teachers who were involved in the fake certificate racket.
