Jharsuguda: A Railways employee was arrested after a bag containing 114 fake notes in the denomination of Rs 500 was seized from his rented house during a raid by Brajrajnagar police on Tuesday.
A native of Shahdol in Madhya Pradesh, the accused, Raman Kumar Rajak (32), was posted at Brajrajnagar railway station.
According to police sources, the accused confessed that he got the fake notes of Rs 57,000 face value from a relative in Durg after paying Rs 20,000.
Further investigation is on to ascertain the involvement of others in the racket.
