Angul: After the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, special teams of police and health staff cracked down on a fake edible chips manufacturing unit in Angul.
The special squad raided the unit at Bhanadubar area under Sadar PS limits near district headquarters town here.
During the raid special squad seized sleuths seized huge amount of packets containing fake edible chips and kurkure, raw materials like necessary spices and empty packs. The packets allegedly bear the labels and names of various branded companies.
The firm’s owner, Sandeep Goyal, has ben detained for interrogation.
Sources said that the factory was illegally operating for the last five years.
The team was led Dinakrushna Mishra, Sadar PS IIC Prabhat Tripathy and others.
