Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway has urged job aspirants to be alert and not fall prey to ‘fake job advertisements’ in the Railways.

In a fake job alert, the Railway administration stated that several cases of job fraud have been published in websites claiming that the Indian Railways Protection Force (RPF) is recruiting RPF personnel for Constable Recruitment Examination, 2022. The matter came to notice after an advertisement went viral on social media platforms recently.

Fact check by Railways and PIB revealed that the advertisements were completely fake and no such recruitment advertisement/notice has been published by the RPF or Railways.

Appealing job aspirants not to fall prey to fraudsters, East Coast  Railway stated that several cases have come to the knowledge of Railway administration in recent times. Innocent people are being cheated by the racketeers luring jobs in Railways despite several steps taken by the Railways to control the tout menace.

Reiterating the youth the Raikway stated that “Don’t fall prey to touts, brokers and racketeers to get a Railway job and save your hard-earned money. Get a job through merit and hard work. The Railway Board or Railway Recruitment Board or the Railway Ministry never nominates any agent or an outsourcing agency for recruitment.”

What to do?

Always check the official websites of Railway Recruitment Boards, Railway Recruitment Cells and follow advertisements published by the Boards in Newspapers and in Employment News

Only follow the official websites of Railways.

All Railway examinations are now being held online only.

Call on Vigilance Helpline No 8455885031 if anybody asks for bribe promising to provide you a job in Railways or if you have any information of corruption or you are a victim of the above.
