Keonjhar: A man impersonating police officer was arrested while smuggling huge amount of ganja in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Sunday.
As per reports, two persons in police uniform were going in a jeep bearing police logo and registration number of New Delhi in Keonjhar town in the afternoon. The jeep was followed by a pick-up van.
As drivers of both vehicles were driving recklessly in high speed, the local people stopped them near Jagamohanpur square under Telakoi police station. When they posed questions to the two persons, the latter countered with foul language and an argument ensued.
Suspecting that the two persons were fake policemen, the locals informed the police. When a team from Telakoi police station reached the spot, one of the two persons managed to escape. However, the police caught hold of the second person.
