Jeypore: Police has busted a fake spices manufacturing unit at P R Petta lane here on Thursday night.
A team from Jeypore Town Police conducted raid at one Harihar Patra’s house, after being tipped off, and seized a huge cache of raw materials, adulterated spices of several brands and the machinery used for packaging the spices.
“Based on certain inputs, we have conducted raid at Harihar Patra’s house and seized a huge amount of spices. Many raw materials have also been seized from his house,” said Jeypore Town Police Station IIC Baleswar Gidhi.
Patra has been detained and further investigation are on. The spices were reportedly being supplied to places such as Brahmapur and Jeypore.
