Cuttack: Has Cuttack turned into a hub of manufacturing units churning out fake products? The continuing raids on adulterated food manufacturing units over the past few months clearly states so. After fake ghee, masala, edible oil, ghee and even soya chunks, the Commissionerate Police on Wednesday busted a fake tea manufacturing unit in the city.
On a tip-off, police raided a unit at Mukameshwar village under Cuttack Sadar police limits and seized more than four quintals of tea and packaging materials bearing logos of various popular brands.
Police also detained one person in this connection.
They were allegedly mixing dust of normal leaves and wood with tea. Police also seized leaves and wood dust from the spot.
