Jajpur: Police on Monday busted a fake tobacco manufacturing unit at Bidyadharpur village near Bairi in Jajpur district and arrested four persons in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Jajpur police led by Sadar SDPO Chinmay Nayak and DSP Dipak Gochhayat along with a squad of Excise officials raided a house at the village in the morning. They seized empty tin boxes, tobacco and some machinery from the house.
According to police, the fake unit used to sell fake tobacco products under the name of branded companies.
