Koraput: A team of Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested Budari Nag, a fake train ticket examiner (TTE), from Koraput-Visakhapatnam DMU at Rauli station near Odisha’s Rayagada on Thursday.
The accused is a resident of Koyapal village under Dharva police limits in bordering Chhattisgarh.
According to sources, Nag posed as a TTE between Koraput and Rauli stations and collected fines from passengers travelling without ticket. Suspecting foul play, the passengers alerted the authorities and Nag was subsequently arrested at Rauli station.
Nag is no way related with the railways, the police added.
