Bhubaneswar: There was a drop in fresh COVID-19 positive cases in Bhubaneswar. With 93 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours — 21 from quarantine and 72 local contacts — the total tally went up to 28,985 on Thursday.
Among the new cases, 5 each are from Badagada and Patia, 4 each from Bomikhal, Nayapalli, Mancheswar, Saheed Nagar and Shailashree Vihar, 3 each from IRC Village, Unit-3 and Samantarapur and 2 eah from BJB Nagar, Chandrasekharpur, Damana, Kanan Vihar, Jayadev Vihar, Ghatikia, Dumduma, Patrapada, Vani Vihar and Unit-8.
On the other hand, 254 patients have been cured of the disease.
With 162 deaths and 27,080 recoveries, Bhubaneswar has now 1722 active cases.
