Bhubaneswar: The falling trend in COVID-19 cases continues in the capital city, with 439 people being reported to be infected by the virus in the last 24 hours.
The number of new infections was 485 the previous day.
Among new cases, 85 are from quarantine and 354 through local contacts. The total number of cases in Bhubaneswar has now gone up to 83,609.
Nayapalli reported 25 cases, followed by Patia (22), Dumduma (20), Jharpada and Khandagiri (18 each), Patrapada (15), Laxmisagar (13), Badagada and Chandrasekharpur (12 each).
On the other hand, 881 patients have recovered from the disease.
With 78,123 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 5,088 active cases.
With four more deaths, total fatalities in Bhubaneswar is now 377.
