Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan, who turned 60 on Sunday, gave his fans a special return gift — the first look of his upcoming film titled ‘King’.

The 72-second teaser features fast-paced action and an intense version of King Khan, seen in salt-and-pepper hair. The actor’s ruthless persona was enough to send fans and celebrities into a tizzy.

The likes of Karan Johar, Bipasha Basu, Mrunal Thakur, Sussanne Khan, Vivek Oberoi couldn’t keep calm and expressed their excitement on watching the teaser video which was shared on Instagram by Shah Rukh and went super viral on all social media platforms.

Re-sharing the teaser, Karan Johar wrote, “Is there a word that means ‘beyond blockbuster’?? Let’s just settle for juggernaut!!! This King is going to rule!!!”

Bipasha also re-shared the post on her Instagram Stories. “Wow!!! Happy Birthday @srk. Just fab (clapping hands emojis),” the actress said.

Mrunal and Hansika Motwani commented on Shah Rukh’s post, “King (fire and heart emojis).”

Vivek Oberoi posted, “That’s why we call him the KING.”

Sussanne said, “Gorgeoussssssss man (heart eyes, fire, raised hands and red heart emojis). Happy Birthday @iamsrk.”

SRK’s wife Gauri Khan, daughter Suhana and Deepika Padukone shared the first look video on their respective Instagram Stories.

Shah Rukh could not make his traditional birthday appearance at Mannat, but a handful of lucky fans were treated to an intimate gathering with the superstar.

Shah Rukh joined his fans at the private #SRKDay event on Sunday evening.

Photos and videos from the celebrations went viral as the lucky fans wasted no time in sharing moments from the special event.

The film, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, is Shah Rukh’s second collaboration with director Siddharth Anand after ‘Pathaan’.

The film is also being described as Anand’s “biggest mass action film yet”, promising larger-than-life stunts, scale, and storytelling. SRK apart, the film stars Suhana, Deepika, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma, among others.
