Bhubaneswar: Fans of nation’s No. 1 comedian Kapil Sharma in Bhubaneswar have been sharing videos and pictures on social media platforms since he began shooting for actor-director Nandita Das’ yet-to-be-titled film here in the last week of February.
Kapil plays a delivery boy in the film set in Bhubaneswar. He has so far shot at a mall in Khandagiri and other locations in the city, including Jatin Das’ JD Centre of Art and what seems like the Old Town area.
On Saturday, KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta felicitated him for his “rivetting work” on their campus.
Kapil had earlier said that he would be in the city to shoot and wrote on Instagram, “Your Order Is Placed.”
After helming the highly acclaimed 2018 biographical drama, Manto, this is Nandita’s next venture, which also stars Shahana Goswami. Taking to her Twitter handle, Nandita had wrote: “Writer-Director-Producer Nandita Das teams up with Kapil Sharma in a never seen before avatar of a food delivery rider. Kapil will be joined by Shahana Goswami as the female lead. Filming soon!”
The film is being produced by Applause Entertainment and Nandita Das Initiatives.
