Farmer Commits Suicide Over ‘Crop Loss’ In Ganjam

Ganjam: A farmer allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at Pattapur village under Sanakhemundi block of Ganjam district, following crop loss, on Wednesday.

The deceased farmer has been identified as N Prakash Reddy.

According to sources, he was found dead in his farmland in the morning.

His family members alleged that Reddy took the extreme step due to crop loss and debt burden. He was unable to repay the loan due to crop loss, they added.
