Mumbai: ‘Bigg Boss 19’ contestant, Farrhana Bhatt’s family has sent a legal notice to singer Amaal Mallik’s aunt, Roshan Garry Bhinder, for calling her a ‘terrorist’ in an interview.
The family has demanded a public apology and sought Rs 1 crore in damages.
Sharing a statement via social media on Wednesday, Farrhana’s family revealed that they have sent a legal notice to Roshan for her defamatory remarks. “The family of Mrs Farrhana Bhatt, actress and national-level taekwondo athlete, currently seen in Bigg Boss Season 19, have expressed deep distress over defamatory and communally charged remarks made against her in a recent YouTube interview,” the statement read.
Calling Roshan’s comments “outrageous”, they added, “The family has chosen to respond with dignity and legal recourse, rather than stoop to the level of mudslinging and online provocation being carried out by the other side. The notice seeks immediate removal of the defamatory video, a public apology, and ₹1 crore in damages for the reputational and emotional harm caused.”
The statement also revealed that copies of the legal notice have been sent to the National Commission of Women and the Maharashtra State Women’s Commission.

In a recent interview with Fifafooz, Amaal’s aunt, while talking about Farrhana said, “Evil. Terrorist. I’m sorry, I don’t want to say this. But vo jo hote hai na rakshah log jo logon ka khoon peene ke baad haste hain, she’s like that. (She is like a demon who laughs after sucking people’s blood).”
In another interview, Roshan rubbished reports of ‘Bigg Boss 19’ host Salman Khan being biased towards Amaal. “Just because Salman sir knows him beforehand, that doesn’t mean he’s biased towards him. Because the whole idea of Bigg Boss is pretty simple – entertain and he is entertaining,” she told Zoom.
