Kolkata: Renowned fashion designer, Sharbari Dutta (63) was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her house here on Thursday night, police said on Friday.
Dutta was found lying unconscious in the bathroom of her home. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and the post-mortem will be conducted on Friday.
She was not reachable on phone since morning, the family told news agency PTI. The doctors diagnosed stroke as the reason for her death, but sent the body for a post-mortem examination as it was found in the washroom, family sources said.
Dutta pioneered in men’s wear and her designs have been worn by Vidya Balan and many other actors.
