New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on Saturday made FASTag mandatory for all four-wheelers from January 1, 2021.
FASTags are mandatory for third party insurance and registration of new four-wheelers. FASTags will also be required to renew fitness certificates.
FASTags will help in the shift to digital payments at toll plazas which will reduce congestion as well.
