Cuttack: A man and his daughter died after the two-wheeler they were riding collided with a pick-up van on Cuttack-Chandbali road under Jagatpur police limits here in Odisha’s Cuttack district on Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as Anubhav Samal of Satyabhamapur village and his daughter Anjali Swain.
According to sources, the accident took place when the father-daughter duo was heading towards the railway station around 3 am. They fell off the vehicle following the collision with the van coming from Cuttack and were seriously injured.
On being informed, police reached the spot and rushed the duo to the nearest hospital but doctors declared them dead on arrival.
Police have seized both vehicles and the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
