Balasore: In an unfortunate incident, a man and his four-year-old son were killed after being run over by a train near Rupsa Junction in Balasore district on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Patraju Pradhan and his son Purba Pradhan of Jakhapura village in Jajpur district.
According to sources, Patraju along with his wife and son had gone to the railway station to board a train for Jajpur.
They were hit by Howrah-Bhubaneswar Jan Shatabdi Express while crossing the railway tracks. However, Patrajus’s wife managed to escape from the mishap.
On being informed, the Government Railway Police reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem.
