Rourkela: A father-son duo was killed in a road accident on NH-143 near Balughat under Raghunathpalli police limits late on Friday.
The deceased persons have been identified as Sambhunath Sethi and Muna Sethi.
Sambunath was a truck driver and his son Muna the helper.
According to sources, the accident took place when they were crossing the road after parking their vehicle and were mowed down by another speeding truck. They died on the spot.
Following the accident, the irate locals demanded compensation for the kin of the deceased and blocked the road.
On being informed, the police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
