Jajpur: In a tragic incident, a man and his son were electrocuted to death during electric repair in their house at a village in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Sunday.
According to sources, the mishap took place at Bengapatia village under Danagadi block in the morning.
The deceased have been identified as Ganesh Mandal and his son Aashu. The wife of Ganesh sustained critical injuries in the incident.
Aashu came in contact with live wire doing some electricity repair work, while his father was electrocuted during effort to save his son. Tulsi also suffered injuries while trying to save them.
She was admitted to the community health centre (CHC) at Danagadi and her condition was stated to be critical.
On being informed, police reached the spot and initiated investigation.
