Mumbai: The new version of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic serial ‘Fauji’, featuring Vicky Jain and Gauhar Khan in lead roles, has gone on floors.
Updating fans about ‘Fauji 2’, the makers shared a poster on their social media handle.
“Lights, Camera, Action! Journey towards remaking the nostalgia begins. Fauji 2 shooting kicks off in Pune, Symbiosis College,” read the caption.
‘Fauji 2’ will be aired on Colors TV.
The 1989 sitcom ‘Fauji’ marked Shah Rukh’s debut as an actor.
Besides Vicky and Gauhar, the show will feature Aashish Bhardwaj, Utkarsh Kohli, Rudra Soni, Amardeep Phogat, Ayaan Manchanda, Neil Satpuda, Sushmita Bhandari, Maansi, Suvansh Dhar, Aman Singh Deep, Udit Kapur and Priyanshu Rajguru.
Earlier, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh had shared the details of the new show on his Insta handle.
“SANDEEP SINGH LAUNCHES ‘FAUJI 2′ – THE NEW AVATAR OF SRK’S ICONIC SERIAL… The iconic 1989 serial Fauji – starring ShahRukhKhan – returns with a fresh new version. Sandeep Singh – in collaboration with India’s national broadcaster Doordarshan – brings Fauji 2 in an updated, modern format,” wrote Taran.
The title track of ‘Fauji 2’ has been sung by Sonu Nigam. The show will have 11 songs.
The music has been composed by Shreyas Puranik and the voiceover has been done by Sharad Kelkar.
