Bhubaneswar: Taking the issue of faulty antigen test kits at VSSUT in Burla in Odisha’s Sambalpur seriously, the Odisha State Medical Corporation Limited (OSMCL) has issued show-cause notices to two firms who had supplied the kits.
In the notice, OSMCL has asked Alpine Biomedicals Private Ltd, Haryana and Oscar Medicare Private Ltd, Delhi to reply within three days as to why action shall not be taken against the firms for supply of defective or non-standard Rapid Antigen Detection Kits for SARS Covid-19.
It may be mentioned that 25 VSSUT students, who had undergone the rapid antigen test earlier and tested COVID-19 positive had tested negative three days later after RT-PCR test today. They are now kept in a special hostel.
