Cuttack: The Millennium City is home to some lovely cafés and restaurants. However, the youth of the silver city have different preferences. Here are the favourite hangout places of the young people, in and around Cuttack.
Naraj
This is a preferred place not only for the youth but also for families in the evenings. The pink skies and sunsets make it absolutely alluring. Sitting with a cup of tea, or the famous aloo paratha is the ideal way to spend time here. It’s also a favourite destination of photographers, owing to the lovely scenery.
Barabati Stadium
The place around Café Corner and Dahibara stalls is the next one among favourite hangout spots. One can see the crowd here, not only in the evenings but also during daytime. One can relish on a tasty plate of Dahibara or cold coffee to while away time here. Not very far away is Munu tea stall and one can walk down there to sip a cup of Munu Bhai’s Chaa.
Trisulia Bridge
The new Trisulia Bridge is quite crowded these days, almost every evening. Owing to the rising waters in the Mahanadi and the ever-changing sky colour, this is a new addition to the list of favourite hangout spots in the city. There is a separate lane where one can sit and munch on some hot and fresh sweet corn which is sold there, while talking about anything under the sun.
Jobra
The suicide point, also known as lovers’ point, is a famous hangout spot. In the evenings, one can go there and chill, enjoy some fast food and soak in the beautiful silver city to soothe nerves. With the inauguration of a new road recently, one can reach the spot easily and quickly. Since it’s just in front of the Maritime Museum, you can walk in and get educated on maritime life.
Big Bazaar, Jail Road
This is one of the most favourite and affordable places in and around Cuttack. Situated in the heart of the city, one can walk into Café Coffee Day when yearning for a hot cup of coffee, or probably into the Indian Chicken Express if in the mood for fried chicken. There are a variety of shopping options as well, including Reliance Trends and Brand Factory.
