Fed Cup Senior Athletics Meet: Dutee Chand Storms Into 100-Metre Final

Patiala: Ace woman athlete from Odisha Dutee Chand will vie for gold in the 100-metre sprint final on the fourth and final day of the 23rd Federation Cup National Senior Athletics Championship at Patiala on Monday.

Dutee had stormed into the final with a timing of 11.48 seconds on Sunday.

Prior to this event, the ace sprinter had won a gold medal in the 200-metre sprint on March 16.

On the other hand, Amiya Kumar Mallick of Odisha failed to qualify for the men’s 100-metre sprint final event. Mallick clocked 11.18 seconds in the semi-final event on Sunday.

The closing ceremony of the event, organised by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), will be held this evening.
