Female Candidate Faints During Physical Test For Police Job

Anandpur: A female candidate fell ill while undergoing a physical test for police constable interview in Keonjhar district on Friday.

The woman was identified as Damayanti Behera, a resident of Jangira village under Pandipada police limits in the district.

Behera fell unconscious during the physical test for the interview conducted at a stadium.

Following the incident, she was admitted to the district headquarters hospital. Her condition is stated to be stable.

A similar incident was reported from Cuttack on Thursday when a youth identified as Suresh Pradhan died and two others became critical during a recruitment drive for police constable in Indian Reserve Battalion Force, Seventh Battalion Ground.

The two candidates, who had taken ill during the test, were rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
